I often get asked where I came up with the name giddy giddy. The name was inspired by the Japanese-Hawaiian term "giri giri" which refers to a cowlick, or the little swirl in the back of a child's hair. Let's do something fun while helping others! McDonalds is having a fabulous event that you can do with your family. GET INVOLVED!

The Walk for Kids™ is a 5K walk designed to raise funds and awareness for the services and programs provided by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California. The 2011 Walk for Kids will take place in three locations on Sunday, April 10, 2011: Exposition Park in Los Angeles, Honda Center in Orange County and Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga. A fourth Walk for Kids will take place on June 4, 2011 at the California Living Museum in Bakersfield. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. and the Walk begins at 8:00 a.m.

Awards will be presented to the individuals and teams who raise the most money to benefit our families and children and who recruit the greatest number of members to walk with them. A t-shirt will be given to every individual who raises more than $100. The following additional incentives will be provided to those who raise money at the following levels:

$1000+ - Walk for Kids Sweatshirt
$500 to $999 - Walk for Kids Water Bottle
$250 to $499 - Walk for Kids Baseball Cap

$100 to $249 - Walk for Kids T-Shirt

There is no cost to register as an individual or a team so please join us for a very special event!

WAT-AAH Contest

WAT-AAH-Face!, (What A Face!), is a nationwide photo contest where kids, and any kids at heart, are asked to wear a WAT-AAH! tattoo on their faces, are instructed to "pose, pout, amuse and/or shock" in front of a camera and submit their photo onto WAT-AAH!'s Facebook page. The contest was inspired by thousands of kids who willingly and naturally posed and put out memorable and amusing faces after wearing a WAT-AAH! neon-colored tattoo, featuring the brand's screaming boy logo. WAT-AAH!'s Facebook fans will be asked to vote for their favorite photo and the winner will receive a cash prize of $2,500. Kids who entered on behalf of their schools will have a chance to win for themselves and also have their prize be matched and donated back into their schools.

The contest will run on Facebook for three months, ending June 30^th, 2011.Participants can request for a tattoo through Facebook, receive one during WAT-AAH!'s many sponsored events nationwide, or by visiting a select number of stores, distribution outlets and schools who have joined WAT-AAH! on this initiative.
